At 1:45 p.m. on Thursday, June 5, Jack will lead a session titled, "Investigations—What Every Chief Compliance Officer Needs to Know." The session, which will feature Prudential Financial's Vice President of Corporate Compliance Helen Gurian, will cover best practices for conducting investigations, with the goal of helping attendees drive continuous improvement in their compliance programs.
Then, at 3:15 p.m., Holleran and Gurian will lead a small-group conversation to compare and contrast investigation practices (limited to 24 compliance executives).

Jack Holleran is a leader of Ernst & Young's Corporate Compliance Advisory Services practice. In this role, he advises clients on identifying and prioritizing compliance risks, implementing and enhancing compliance programs, assuring that compliance programs are integrated and effective, and measuring the effectiveness of compliance programs.
Holleran has nearly 20 years of compliance, litigation, and investigations experience. Prior to joining Ernst & Young in 2006, he served as Chief Compliance Officer at Philip Morris USA. In that role, he oversaw the implementation and enhancement of an enterprise-wide compliance program to assure compliance with legal, regulatory, and business requirements.
Prior to that, he spent several years in the company’s legal department as in-house counsel, where his responsibilities included compliance, litigation, and internal investigations.
Holleran began his career at one of Virginia’s premier law firms, where he was an accomplished trial lawyer.
He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Dartmouth College and his Juris Doctor degree from Washington & Lee University School of Law.
