Scott Kirsner writes about innovation for a number of national publications, including Variety, Wired, Fast Company, BusinessWeek and Newsweek. His "Innovation Economy" column appears every week on page one of The Boston Sunday Globe Business section.

His articles and profiles, which have appeared in The New York Times and other leading national publications, have included a high-profile interview with Tyco CEO Ed Breen in the wake of that company’s governance scandal, and a story about one of the most successful eBay con artists ever. His work has appeared in the Los Angeles Times, the San Francisco Chronicle, Salon.com, and elsewhere.

A frequent moderator, speaker, and TV and radio commentator, Kirsner has co-founded and runs three conference: Future Forward, the Nantucket Conference on Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and Convergence: The Life Sciences Leaders Forum. He recently completed a book on digital cinema with Academy Award-winning film director, producer, and screenwriter George Lucas.

Kirsner is a graduate of Boston University’s College of Communications and the New World School of the Arts, in Miami. He lives in Cambridge, Mass. with his wife and son.
