On Wednesday, June 4, MacKay will join a panel with DoJ Deputy Assistant Attorney General Barry Sabin on "FCPA Enforcement and Preventive Steps for Companies." The panel, led by McKenna Long & Aldridge partner and former Chief of the Fraud Section at the Department of Justice Joshua Hochberg, will also explore the due-diligence and compliance programs that companies can utilize to prevent and detect the types of problems that give rise to FCPA enforcement actions.

Scott W. MacKay is the Vice President and Deputy General Counsel for Lockheed Martin Corporation. He is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the 125-member legal department and providing legal advice to the Senior Vice President and General Counsel and the Corporation.
Prior to becoming the Deputy General Counsel in February 2006, Mr. MacKay was the Vice President and Associate General Counsel for Litigation and Compliance. In that position, Mr. MacKay was responsible for managing and conducting corporate litigation, including criminal and civil fraud matters, coordinating the Corporation's response to government investigations and requests for information, conducting internal investigations, and other compliance issues.
Prior to joining Lockheed Martin in July 1995, Mr. MacKay was a senior trial attorney in the U.S. Department of Justice Criminal Division’s Fraud Section. Mr. MacKay investigated and prosecuted procurement fraud cases as well as cases involving violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, perjury before a grand jury, telemarketing fraud, public corruption, and fraud relating to classified contracts.
Before joining the Fraud Section, Mr. MacKay served in the Army’s Judge Advocate General’s Corps in a variety of criminal justice assignments and as a legal advisor in the Office of the Secretary of the Army. Mr. MacKay received his juris doctor degree from the Boston University School of Law in 1981 and a bachelor of science degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1976.
