Rob Mac Kay was appointed Vice President & General Auditor in 2007 and currently heads PepsiCo’s Corporate Audit function. He works closely with the divisions and corporate senior management to ensure the quality of PepsiCo’s processes for assessing, managing and reporting risks and ensuring the integrity of financial reporting through a system of strong internal controls.
From 2003–2007, Rob served as Vice President and Controller for PepsiCo International. Before that, Rob was Controller for Frito-Lay International’s (FLI) Latin America and Asia regions and responsible for world-wide FLI financial reporting, a role he assumed in 2000. Prior to this assignment, he was Controller for FLI’s Latin America region.
Rob first joined PepsiCo in 1997 after working three years as Director of Finance for Mercedes-Benz Leasing in Mexico. Rob went to Mercedes-Benz after a six year career at KPMG where he served as an Assurance Senior Manager in the firm’s San Diego and Mexico City offices. He graduated from the University of San Diego with a B.B.A. in Accounting and received his Certified Public Accounting Certificate in the State of California.
Rob is a Director for Eastern Soccer Foundation and a founding member of Youth Tennis San Diego. Both not-for-profit organizations provide financial assistance to deserving children to allow them the opportunity to play soccer and tennis, respectively, at high competitive levels.
