On Wednesday, June 4, Sabin will join a panel with Lockheed Martin Vice President and Associate General Counsel Howard Weissman on "FCPA Enforcement and Preventive Steps for Companies." The panel, led by McKenna Long & Aldridge partner and former Chief of the Fraud Section at the Department of Justice Joshua Hochberg, will also explore the due-diligence and compliance programs that companies can utilize to prevent and detect the types of problems that give rise to FCPA enforcement actions.

Barry M. Sabin was appointed to serve as Deputy Assistant Attorney General by Alice S. Fisher, AAG on January 3, 2006.

Sabin served as Chief of the Counterterrorism Section for the Criminal Division for over three years. He relocated from the United States Attorney's Office in Miami, Florida in July 2002, where he served for nearly a dozen years, most recently as the First Assistant United States Attorney.

In the Southern District of Florida, Sabin also served as Chief of the Criminal Division, Chief of the Major Prosecutions and Violent Crimes Section, and Deputy Chief of the Economic Crimes Section. He was lead trial attorney on over fifty federal criminal jury trials in Miami, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach on virtually all types of violations of federal criminal law.

Prior to joining the Department of Justice, Sabin was a litigation associate at Stroock & Stroock & Lavan's New York office. He received his Bachelors and Masters degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and his law degree from New York University School of Law.
