Christine M. Schwab is vice president and chief risk officer of $15.7 billion Dominion Resources, one of the nation's largest producers of energy.
In that role, Schwab coordinates and facilitates a companywide effort to consistently identify, assess, monitor and respond to risk at the company.
A 1990 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, Schwab earned her bachelor’s degree in economics. She received her law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1993. She also participated in the University of Chicago’s Management Institute executive management program in 2005.
She joined Dominion in September 1995 as managing counsel-Generation & Portfolio Management. In early 2002, she was named director-Transactions, and she became managing director-Financial Analysis & Planning in September 2005. She was promoted to vice president-Mergers, Acquisitions & Divestitures in November 2006, and to vice president-Business Development in October 2007. She was named to her current position in January 2008.
Before joining Dominion, Schwab was with the Richmond-based law firm McGuireWoods LLP.
